Please read the full story here. I negotiated a price with the boss 'Lex' (which every customer should do) and paid the agreed 50%. The installation was to take 7 days but granted, it was over the Easter weekend and their tiler was sick 1 day so that would take the total amount of days to 9. Some THREE weeks later the job was eventually completed. Now I can honestly say the workmanship was high class and I can't fault the guys but the boss/owner Lex is an absolute balloon of a man. I did contact the citizens advice bureau and they stated that I should ask for a discount on the total amount, regardless of the negotiated starting price as it's stated in trading standards law that 'any job must be satisfactorily completed within an agreed time or within a reasonable timescale' but Lex accused me of wanting more money off! Well YEAH too bloody right!! I said during our phone call that if I didn't get any joy over the call, I had to send a letter. His reply was "Just do that and we'll go through the courts, I was expecting you to complain". Really? How professional can you get!?! I'm satisfied with the job but I would highly recommend anyone to shop elsewhere. Ps. I am not taking the case any further as I feel the impact of social media is sufficient enough.
